Overview

Dimple's Lechon House, nestled in the heart of Toril Proper, Davao City, stands out as a go-to destination for those craving authentic Filipino lechon. Located at 185 Agton Street, this lechon restaurant specializes in masterfully roasted pork and chicken, with their signature Lechon Manok and the unique Samosa Roti with vegetables adding variety to the rich, traditional menu. The restaurant’s atmosphere is informal and spacious, making it well-suited for family gatherings and casual group dining despite its open-air, non-air-conditioned setting.

The experience at Dimple’s is defined not only by its main dishes but also by the ambiance and crowd it attracts. The space is roomy, filled with numerous tables, which creates a bustling, lively vibe typical of many local Filipino eateries. While the absence of air-conditioning can make the environment a bit warm and noisy, many guests find that this is a small tradeoff for the star attraction: the lechon. Customers frequently praise the perfectly roasted pig for its crisp skin and flavorful meat. The roasted chicken, while sometimes noted as a bit dry, appeals to those who prefer a less sweet, more traditional taste.

Situated in a vibrant area of Davao del Sur, Dimple’s targets families and groups who appreciate communal dining and the comforting flavors of Filipino cuisine. Its menu, featuring various native dishes, offers ample choices for those seeking an authentic and straightforward local meal. However, some reviewers mention that the seasoning of certain dishes can be mild, which hints at a preference for subtlety rather than bold spice.

On service, opinions vary: while the staff is efficient in managing the busy dining room, they can occasionally seem less approachable, which may affect the overall ambiance. Additionally, the open-air setup invites insects, a common challenge for many outdoor Filipino restaurants, but this rarely overshadows the quality of the food served.

Overall, Dimple's Lechon House holds its place as a cherished culinary spot in Davao, especially for those seeking authentic lechon flavors and a vibrant, homey atmosphere. It’s a practical choice for locals and visitors alike who want to dive into Filipino lechon tradition without the frills of fine dining, focusing instead on taste and communal dining experience.

The restaurant is spacious and has many tables for diners. Also a perfect spot for family gatherings. A restau that is not air conditioned and a little bit noisy. It has two branches in Toril, Davao. Roasted pig and chicken are served. a lot of filipino dishes to choose from. My only concern is that some of their dishes are bland. The staff appears to be constantly agitated. And some of them will glare at you from head to toe. Lol...

Best lechon in Toril. One of the best in Davao. Always made it a point to dine here when I'm around the are. Non air-conditioned. There are flies. But you can look past that because the lechon baby is so good. The roasted chicken is a bit dry but not sweet just how I like it. Many different food choices as well.

Satisfied with what we got. Of course, the star, the lechon, was perfect.
